How the two rankings are separated
The Purple Scholar Top 20 is reserved for Grade 10 and Grade 11 learners only. Grade 12 learners are never ranked in the Top 20 — they are recognised solely in the Purple Grade 12 Top 10, so matriculants compete against their own cohort rather than against junior scholars.
The matric award
The awarded matriculant from the Purple Grade 12 Top 10 receives the TGN Undergraduate Resource Package plus their university registration fee.
